Gastroenterology of Westchester is a gastroenterology practice based in Yonkers, New York, built around a simple promise: fully committed to excellent patient care. When the practice set out to open its first state-of-the-art ambulatory surgical center in Yonkers, it brought in Solved IT to build the center’s technology from the ground up.
Security cameras covering the new surgical center
Cable runs for workstations, Wi-Fi, cameras and doors
Wi-Fi access points for coverage across the center
Doors secured with access control
THE CHALLENGE
Gastroenterology of Westchester was opening its first ambulatory surgical center: a brand-new space in Yonkers with no existing cabling, network or security systems. Everything had to be designed, installed and working before the center could open to patients, from the cabling in the walls to the staff desktops, cameras and door access.
WHAT SOLVED IT DID
Structured cabling from day one
We ran 198 Cat6 cables throughout the center for workstations, Wi-Fi, cameras and access control, neatly dressed and terminated in the network racks.
A full network and Wi-Fi
We built the center’s complete network and installed 12 Wi-Fi access points, so staff and equipment stay connected throughout the facility.
Security cameras and access control
We installed 27 security cameras and access control on 8 doors, giving the practice visibility across the center and control over who can enter each door.
27 staff desktops, ready to work
We set up 27 desktops so the team could get straight to work when the center opened.
About six weeks, start to finish
The full buildout took roughly six weeks, from an empty space to a working surgical center.
