The Beginning

Philip Buchanan Sr. founded Solved IT on a simple observation: small and mid-sized businesses were being underserved by an industry that treated them like an afterthought — reactive support, generic solutions, and vendors who disappeared when things got complicated.

With 26 years in the industry and a career built in this community, Phil set out to build something different — a technology partner with the same depth and accountability enterprise companies take for granted, without the enterprise price tag or the runaround.

He started with managed IT and built from there — adding structured cabling, video surveillance, access control, and smart sensing technology because clients needed a single partner who could handle all of it. Not a referral to someone else. Not a patchwork of vendors. One team, one call, one partner who knew their entire environment.
