Jorge Carrillo Silva is the Cloud & Security Manager at Solved IT, responsible for the cloud infrastructure and security posture that protect both the company’s own operations and every client environment Solved IT manages. A CISSP-certified security professional with more than seven years of experience across cloud operations, network security, and infrastructure engineering, Jorge holds certifications spanning all three major cloud platforms — AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud — plus Kubernetes and Cisco networking, and a master’s in cybersecurity from NYU. He has built and secured environments ranging from Microsoft’s Windows Defender team to compliance-driven healthcare networks. When Solved IT tells a client their data and systems are secure, Jorge is the person accountable for making that true.
Jorge oversees cloud architecture, identity and access management, endpoint and network security, and compliance across the entire client base and Solved IT’s internal systems alike. He hardens configurations before they reach production, automates the routine work with Python and PowerShell so nothing depends on someone remembering to run it, and watches for the kind of small misconfiguration that quietly turns into a breach. Whether it’s a firewall policy, a cloud migration, or a HITRUST or data-protection requirement, the standard is the same on the internal side and the client side. His job is to make sure security is designed in, not bolted on.
Jorge’s approach to cloud and security is straightforward: the systems people trust with their business should be boring — available when they need them, invisible when they don’t, and never the reason for a bad day. That principle guides every environment he builds and every control he puts in place.
